Church Belief
Switzer First Baptist Church is a body of born-again believers; called, equipped and commissioned by God, to carry the Gospel throughout our community and beyond. In order to respond to this call, we have committed ourselves to worship, to fellowship with one another and with other, like-minded churches in our area, to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to be a band of praying Christians.
We believe that the Bible is God’s divinely-inspired Word and that it is our only authority for faith and practice. We believe that missions and evangelism are to be at the heart of everything we do. In order to fulfill our responsibility to be involved in missions locally, nationally & internationally, we have chosen to be affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, the South Carolina Baptist State Convention, and the Woodruff Baptist Association. We also participate with churches of other denominations in our area through the Woodruff Ministerial Alliance.
We are a warm, caring church that seeks to minister to persons of every age group. To this end, we have activities and ministries throughout the year that seek to meet the needs of children, youth, and adults. Our ministry to Senior Adults is a vital part of our church.
It is our goal, together as God’s people, to love one another, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with all persons, everywhere, and to grow in Christian character. Come and share with us in the warmth of God’s love.
